An independent platform for discovering and comparing AI tools.
ToolScanner is an AI tool discovery and comparison service. We maintain a curated catalog of AI tools across categories like writing, coding, design, video, productivity, and marketing, and present their pricing, free plans, and key facts in one consistent format.
Choosing an AI tool usually means opening a dozen pricing pages and decoding each one. Our goal is to make that decision faster: real prices on a monthly-billing basis, side-by-side comparisons, and a stack builder that shows what your whole tool set costs per month.
Every catalog entry records the tool's official website, starting price, free plan and trial availability, platforms, and category. Tools can be searched in plain language, compared side by side, filtered by budget, and combined into a monthly-cost stack.
ToolScanner is an independently operated AI tool comparison platform. We are not the official operator of, or an official partner of, any AI company listed in our catalog. Product information is compiled from publicly available sources such as official websites and pricing pages. All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Catalog entries are re-verified on a rotating schedule, and automated checks flag possible pricing or availability changes for human review before anything is updated. Prices can still change between reviews — always confirm on the provider's official site before purchasing.
ToolScanner tracks 294 AI tools across categories like writing, coding, image, video, voice and automation. Each entry records what the tool does, its starting price and billing basis, whether a free plan or trial exists, supported platforms, and the date we last checked the provider's official site.
Pricing comes from the provider's own public pages, never from a third-party aggregator, and every entry carries the date it was checked. Automated checks re-visit those pages on a rotating schedule and flag changes; a change is only applied after it has been corroborated, and the page shows the verification date so you can judge how current it is. Prices still change between checks — confirm on the official site before you buy.
In-depth reviews are editorial analysis of publicly available material — official pricing pages, documentation and release notes. They are not hands-on tests, and we do not claim to have used every tool. Drafts are produced with AI assistance and then checked automatically against the verified catalog: claims that contradict it, or that cannot be traced to an official source, are rejected rather than published. Where a review states a judgement, it is framed as judgement.
A page is only advertised to search engines when it clears a quality gate: enough sourced detail, no contradictions against the verified catalog, and enough independent substance to be worth someone's time. Pages that do not clear it stay available to visitors and internal navigation, but are marked noindex. We would rather show search users a smaller number of pages worth reading.
Some of this data will be out of date or incorrect. If you spot a wrong price, a tool that has shut down, a changed URL or anything else that looks off, tell us on the contact page and we will check it against the provider's official site.
